6-HEX Pro Phosphoramidite is a fluorescent labeling reagent used in oligonucleotide synthesis. It contains a 6-carboxy-2',4,4',5',7,7'-hexachlorofluorescein (6-HEX) fluorophore attached to a hydroxyprolinol-based phosphoramidite moiety. The hydroxyprolinol linker provides a rigid, non-nucleosidic scaffold for efficient incorporation of the HEX label at the 5' end of DNA sequences during automated solid-phase synthesis. It is commonly used in multiplex PCR, DNA sequencing, and fragment analysis applications.
