BOC Sciences is committed to providing customers with high-quality sulfo-cyanine7 dyes.
Sulfo-Cyanine7 is a class of green to dark green near infrared fluorophore dyes that are hydrophilic and contain a rigid ring in their heptamethine chain to improve their photophysical properties. Excellent dyes for a variety of applications such as labeling proteins, DNA and other biomolecules, including near-infrared imaging. Sulfo-Cyanine 7 dyes are intended for scientific research, not human or clinical diagnosis.
Characteristics of Sulfo-Cyanine7 Dyes
The main structures of sulfo-cyanine7 dyes are shown in Fig.1. Sulfo-Cyanine7 dyes have high extinction coefficients and emission wavelengths into the near infrared region. This is because there are seven carbon atoms between their indole dihydrogroups, which makes them have a long molecular structure, thus improving the extinction coefficient and emission wavelength of Sulfo-Cyanine7. The excitation peak (Ex) of Sulfo-Cyanine3 is 748 nm, the emission peak (Em) is 774 nm, the extinction coefficient (εmax) is 240600, and the quantum yield(Φ) is 0.2. Sulfo-Cyanine7 dyes are stored at -20 ℃, dry in the dark , easily soluble in water, DMSO, chloroform, DMF, and low in soluble in non-polar organic solvents.

Application of Sulfo-Cyanine7 Dyes
Sulfo-Cyanine7 dyes are highly photostable and have been used in a wide range of biomedical applications, including in vitro bioimaging, in vivo bioimaging, bioassay, immunohistochemistry, microarray detection, photodynamic therapy and photocontrolled drug activation. Sulfo-Cyanine7 dyes are also rich in functional end-groups, including NHS esters, azides, alkynes, maleimides, hydrazides, carboxylic acids, amino, tetrazines, and alkynes, cycloalkyne dyes. When used, Sulfo-Cyanine7 should be dissolved in solvents and then added to biomolecular solutions (proteins, peptides, DNA, etc.) with appropriate water-soluble buffering agents. The dye molecules react efficiently with the biomolecules before the dyes are precipitated. Sulfo-Cyanine7 dyes are fluorescent dyes suitable for in vivo imaging in mice with high specificity, high sensitivity, and low cytotoxicity.
