SIMA (dichloro-diphenyl-fluorescein) is a dye with spectral properties similar to HEX but with a higher quantum yield. SIMA-dT phosphoramidite is used to introduce SIMA in the sequence during oligonucleotide synthesis, usually as a substitute for the native dT linkage.
