Product Introduction
Iowa Black RQ Pro Phosphoramidite is a dark quencher reagent used in oligonucleotide synthesis. It contains an Iowa Black RQ non-fluorescent chromophore attached to a hydroxyprolinol-based phosphoramidite moiety. The hydroxyprolinol linker provides a rigid, non-nucleosidic scaffold for efficient incorporation of the Iowa Black RQ quencher at the 5' end of DNA or RNA sequences during automated solid-phase synthesis. It efficiently quenches fluorescence in the 500-700 nm range via Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET), making it ideal for dual-labeled probe synthesis such as TaqMan probes, molecular beacons, and other real-time PCR applications.
