5-FAM Azide, CHC protected is a fluorescent labeling reagent used for bioorthogonal click chemistry. It contains a 5-carboxyfluorescein (5-FAM) fluorophore with cyclohexylcarbonyl (CHC) protecting groups on the phenolic hydroxyl groups, conjugated to an azide functional group. The azide moiety enables copper-catalyzed or strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition with alkyne-functionalized molecules, while the CHC protection enhances stability during synthesis and handling.
