Vancomycin, BODIPY FL Conjugate is a green-fluorescent derivative of the antibiotic vancomycin, which binds to the terminal D-alanyl-D-alanine moieties of peptidoglycan peptides in cell walls of gram-positive bacteria. It has been used for investigations of vancomycin binding and transport on cell membranes of bacteria. This compound is relatively insensitive to environment and pH changes.
