Copper Probes
Copper ion is a kind of metal ion widely present in living organisms and environment, but its content is too harmful to organisms and the environment, so it is very important for its detection. At present, there are many methods for detecting copper ions, and the fluorescence spectrometry has attracted more and more attention because of its selectivity, sensitivity, and short response time. Copper ion is an important metal ion. The presence of proper amount of Cu2+ in the body helps to ensure the normal metabolism of the body, but excessive content can cause many physiological diseases such as Menkes and Wilson. Copper ions are also widely present in the environment. Although the concentration is not high, long-term aggregation and failure to degrade in time can cause toxic effects, so copper ions are often identified as an environmentally contaminated ion. Therefore, the detection of copper ions is of great significance. At present, there are many methods for detecting copper ions, such as atomic absorption spectroscopy, electrochemical methods, nanosensors, and fluorescence spectroscopy. Among them, fluorescence spectroscopy has the advantages of good selectivity, high sensitivity and short response time. Therefore, some fluorescent substances are appropriately modified to form new fluorescent molecular probes and used for metal ion detection.
In recent years, with the rapid development of supramolecular chemistry, molecular recognition has become a research hotspot in the fields of biology and chemistry. According to various signals generated by the interaction between the recognition subject and the identified object, such as light, magnetic, electrical signals, etc., qualitative and quantitative detection of the object can be realized, and it can also be used as a powerful tool for studying the mechanism of action. Among them, detection methods based on optical signals, such as ultraviolet and fluorescence spectroscopy, have important applications in the detection of metal ions and biomolecules due to their advantages such as simplicity, high sensitivity and high sensitivity. As a trace element in organisms, copper plays a vital role in the metabolism of organisms. But at the same time, copper ions, as an environmental pollutant, have a negative side to water and soil. Therefore, the ability to identify copper ions simply, quickly and sensitively has potential value and significance.
BOC Sciences offers a range of water-soluble, high-light stability probes (dye molecules, also known as fluorophores) that are sensitive to aqueous copper (II) ions (Cu2+). Our probes are very bright, easy to use and provide highly repeatable results. Our probes are available in standard vials and are suitable for almost all analytical formats, such as cuvettes or microscopes; placed in a 96-well kit and pre-loaded into 100 cuvette boxes for fast and convenient Copper analysis. Each probe is accompanied by a copy of the reconstruction and usage data sheet.
Our copper ion probe is a highly sensitive probe for dissolving copper ions that can be used to detect and quantify Copper. The probe can be excited with ε ≈ 53 900 M-1 cm-1 in the range of 300-400 nm. The copper ion probe is a fluorescence ratio probe, which means that the fluorescence intensity at 450 nm is divided by the fluorescence intensity at 560 nm, making the concentration of copper ions easy to determine.
