Product Introduction
Oxazole yellow, also known as YO-PRO-1, is a DNA green fluorescent dye that has no permeability to normal animal cell membranes but permeability to the cell membranes of apoptotic and necrotic cells. It is often used in the detection of apoptosis and necrosis. . YO-PRO-1 is a carbocyanine monomer green fluorescent dye that is non-cell membrane penetrating and has a high affinity for DNA. It basically has no fluorescence when it is not bound to DNA, but it can emit bright after binding to DNA. Green fluorescence. When cell apoptosis occurs, the permeability of the cell membrane changes. At this time, YO-PRO-1 can enter the cell and bind to DNA and emit bright green fluorescence. Therefore, this fluorescent dye and propidium iodide (Propidium Iodide, PI) is used to analyze and identify apoptotic and necrotic cells.
